Fox on Sex: Get Wet and Wild with Platinum
FOXNEWS.com - By Jenny Block
Water can be very appealing. The sound of it rushing or lapping. The feel of it, hot or cold. The sensation of it playing over your skin. Even the sight of it, when it's in the form of a beautiful ocean or an inviting bath. And when it comes to sex, there can be all sorts of ways to incorporate water into your play.
Having sex in the water is often sexier on screen than in real life. Unfortunately, a woman's natural lubricant is quickly washed away when water is introduced to the scene, often making sex difficult and even painful. So, think foreplay rather than main event when it comes to underwater antics, and consider partial submersion as opposed to full-on Jacques Cousteau inspired antics. For example, have one partner sit pool or tub-side while the other pleasures her orally or manually ... or both.
If you are going to go deep, as it were, be prepared. The right lubricants are key. Your best bet is something silicone based like Wet Platinum. And it's a good idea not to trust a condom in the water. Chlorine can compromise its integrity, and there's a better than average chance that it will come right off.
Fooling around on a raft built for two, on a boat (sail or power, big or small) or even on an old school inner tube can bring out your playful side in ways you might never have imagined. Splash around, drift along, roll with the waves, drift in the current, melt into the wet. And going sans clothing can make the ride all the more fun.
Or how about erecting the old Slip 'n Slide in your backyard? You'll wonder why kids get to have all the slippery fun.
Just being around the water can inspire your sexy side. The sounds of crashing waves or torrents of rain falling on the roof, the smell of salt water, views of glistening seas. So don't be shy about setting the scene. Take your partner to the show, draw him a bath, or take her for a midnight swim. Even a sound machine with ocean sounds and a candle with ocean inspired scents can bring the sexy water vibe to your bedroom.
The best part of bath time and summers at the beach was always the toys. Some things never change. Toys like the I Rub My Duckie Vibrator look like their innocent cousins. But these are only for the grownups. You can actually find a parade of waterproof creatures, from penguins to fish, that will bring to mind lazy afternoons at the neighborhood pool.
There are also toys like the Pulsa Bath Ball (buh-bye, loofah...) and zillions of waterproof vibes in every size, shape, and color. Although penetration in the water can be treacherous, vibration is always a viable option - whether you're on your own or with your partner. And should you want the former, remember silicone based lubes are your friend.
Introducing a new element into your sexual play can be a great way to reinvigorate your sex life as well as discover things you might never have known you even liked. And even if it turns out to be more silly than sexy, who cares? Sex should always be fun. Water and water inspired toys are a great way to keep that priority one. Splash around. Dive deep. Float away. Last one in is a rotten egg!
